Overview
The Xamarin.iOS Masked Entry/Textbox is a customization entry control that lets you restrict input to certain types of characters, text, and numbers using mask characters or regex. This control can be used to create a template for providing information such as telephone numbers, IP addresses, product IDs, and so on.
Variable length masked expressions
The masked text box control gives you great flexibility to control variable length of data input.
Culture
Special symbols like currency symbols, date separators, decimal separators, etc., are applied based on the provided culture.
Custom prompt characters
The masked text box control provides the flexibility to customize the prompt character when the default prompt character ( _ ) is not suitable for your scenario.
Validation mode
The masked text box control lets you to choose when to validate the data input.

Validate the data input when the control loses its focus.

Formatting clipboard text
During a cut or copy operation, the masked text box control provides the option to format the clipboard text with literals and prompt characters.

The watermark will prompt you with instructions or important information when it is not in focus and no valid characters are entered.

The masked text box control allows you to change the text font name, font style, font size, and color.

Customize border color of the masked edit control to any of the predefined native colors.
Error border color
The masked text box control provides the flexibility to customize the error border color when the default error border color (Color.Red) is not suitable for your scenario.
