The ASP.NET MVC Progress Button or Spinner Button is used to visualize the progression of an operation in the background. It has built-in features such as predefined styles, different button types, spinner, and UI customization.

Progress Button Icons

Users tend to perceive visual information better than text. The progress button has built-in options to include an icon to the right, left, top, and bottom of a text or provide an icon-only button.

Predefined styles

The progress button has the following predefined styles to be used based on the application scenario:

  • Primary
  • Success
  • Info
  • Warning
  • Danger

Custom Progress Button

Progress buttons can be customized in multiple ways. You can choose from different button sizes, default and small, as required in your application.

Themes

The ASP.NET MVC Progress Button supports several built-in themes such as material, bootstrap, fabric (office 365), and high contrast. Users can customize any one of these built-in themes or create new themes to achieve their desired look and feel either by simply overriding SASS variables or using the Theme Studio application with ease.

  • Fully supports WAI-ARIA accessibility to work with screen readers and assistive devices.
  • Follows WAI-ARIA best practices for implementing keyboard interaction.
  • Follows WCAG 2.0 standards in design of the UI element visuals such as foreground color, background color, line spacing, text, and images.
  • Supports right-to-left (RTL) text direction for users working with right-to-left languages like Hebrew, Arabic, or Persian.

Developer-friendly APIs

Developers can customize all UI elements and the behaviors of Progress Button using its rich set of client-side APIs according to the requirement of the end users.
