Form controls
Add Excel-style form controls directly to a worksheet, including checkboxes, option buttons (radio buttons), and combo boxes (drop-downs). Users can insert a control, move it with drag and drop, resize it, and change its value on the sheet. Create interactive checklists, surveys, and data-entry forms inside the workbook instead of moving them to a separate form.
Client-side importing and exporting
Open Excel workbooks and save them as Excel or PDF entirely in the browser, with no server round trip. Users can load an XLSX file into the Spreadsheet and download the current workbook as XLSX or PDF from local data. Client-side processing keeps file contents on the device, reduces back-end dependency, and speeds up everyday open-and-save workflows.
Table support
Turn a range into an Excel-style table with a header row, banded formatting, and built-in sorting and filtering. Formulas can use structured references such as table and column names instead of fixed cell addresses, so calculations stay readable and keep working as rows are added. Tables make large datasets easier to organize, format, and analyze.
Shapes and text boxes
Insert, view, and edit shapes and text boxes on the sheet, and preserve them during Excel importing and exporting. Rectangles, ellipses, lines, and text boxes can be placed and maintained alongside cell data, allowing annotations, notes, and simple diagrams to travel with the workbook.
Zooming
Enhance spreadsheet usability with zoom-in and zoom-out capabilities, allowing users to adjust the worksheet view for greater comfort and readability. This feature provides users with a more flexible viewing experience across different screen sizes and resolutions.
Advanced charting
Expand in-sheet charting with tree map, sunburst, waterfall, funnel, stock, radar, combo, histogram, and box-and-whisker charts. Enable chart data filtering and provide Excel-like customization options, including styles, layouts, colors, outlines, and color palettes for richer dashboards and reports.
Row and column grouping
Group and outline rows or columns, then collapse or expand those groups, just as Excel outlining works. Grouping keeps summary rows visible while details stay one click away, so large budgets, reports, and hierarchical lists are easier to navigate.
Justify alignment
Distribute text evenly between the left and right edges of a cell, the same way Excel and word processors justify a paragraph. Justified alignment improves the readability of notes, descriptions, and wrapped text, and gives reports a cleaner, more polished layout.
Cell text orientation
Cell text orientation options that match Excel: horizontal, vertical, and 45°, -45°, or 90° angles. Orientation keeps existing cell formatting, works with conditional formatting and filters, and is preserved across Excel importing and exporting. Angled and stacked text makes narrow headers and dense sheets easier to read.
Formula argument details
While a formula is being edited, show argument details when a formula is selected or typed. The pop-up includes an example formula and a description of each argument, similar to Excel’s function argument help, so users can fill in the right inputs without leaving the cell.
Asynchronous custom formulas
Define custom formulas that return results asynchronously using a Promise or async/await, including calls to external APIs and other long-running work. The cell shows the resolved value when the operation finishes, and an asynchronous function can be used inside another custom function without breaking calculation.
Entire row and column references
Use whole rows and columns as formula ranges, the same way Excel does. References such as A:A, A:B, 1:1, and 1:2 calculate across the full row or column, so formulas stay short, update as data grows, and support the same analysis patterns users already know from Excel.

Freeze specific rows and columns to ensure critical information remains visible while navigating large datasets. This enhances data analysis, comparison, and overall usability.
Noncontiguous range selection
Supports the selection and manipulation of multiple nonadjacent cell ranges within a worksheet, enabling advanced data analysis, formatting, and editing scenarios.
Rich text formatting
Provides advanced text formatting capabilities within cells, supporting the application of multiple font styles, sizes, colors, and emphasis to specific portions of cell content.
Header visibility control
Show or hide row and column headers, offering greater flexibility in worksheet presentation and enabling a cleaner viewing experience.
Collaborative editing
Enables simultaneous editing and interaction within the same spreadsheet, supporting real-time collaboration, synchronization, and improved team productivity.

Provides support for adding and managing notes within cells, enabling contextual information and references without impacting underlying cell values.
Threaded comments
