The PivotGauge control for OLAP is ideal for highlighting business critical Key Performance Indicator (KPI) information in executive dashboards and report cards. It lets you to present values against goals in a very intuitive manner. For relational data, PivotGauge lets you to visualize the summary value using pointer over a circular scale.

Key Performance Indicators

KPI are a collection of calculations associated with a measure group that evaluates business success. Typically, these calculations are a combination of multi-dimensional expressions (MDX) or calculated members. There are four he different types of available indicators are as follows:

  • KPI Goal
  • KPI Status
  • KPI Trend
  • KPI Value

Frame Types

PivotGauge supports full-circle and half-circle frame types.


Range of numbers bound by a minimum and a maximum values.


Pointers are used to indicate a specific value on the scale.


Ticks marks the values which are present on the scale. The different types of ticks available are:

  • Major Ticks - used to mark important values on the scale.
  • Minor Ticks – used to mark less significant values and are usually displayed between the major ticks.

Ranges and Indicators

Ranges highlight a range of values and can display different ranges in different colors. Ranges can be customized by changing border and background color of the range. Indicators are used to accurately measure small distances and angles and amplify them to make them more obvious.


PivotGauge control can display multiple Gauges in a structured layout by defining the row and column count. The display will wrap to fit the available space.


PivotGauge provides option to display information such as measure name, member name, goal and value while hovering each individual gauges.


Localization is the process of customizing the user interface (UI) based upon the local culture setting. Using this feature, data can be displayed in a specific language.


PivotGauge supports 12 different types of pre-defined themes allowing users to switch between them to view the controls in different formats. Supported themes are flat-azure, flat-azure-dark, flat-lime, flat-lime-dark, flat-saffron, flat-saffron-dark, gradient-azure, gradient-azure-dark, gradient-lime, and gradient-lime-dark, gradient-saffron and gradient-saffron-dark.

Responsive Layout

Responsive layout is aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experience - easy reading. It also provides navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling across a wide range of devices from tablet to desktop. By using this feature, you can achieve an effective view of the PivotGauge in all devices including desktops, tablets, mobiles, etc.

Angular Binding provides structural Framework for dynamic web apps. It lets you use HTML as your template language and lets you extend HTML’s syntax to express your application’s components clearly and succinctly.

Knockout Binding

Knockout binding system provides a concise and powerful way to link data to the UI. It’s generally easy and obvious to bind to simple data properties.
