My Current Role

I currently work as a Senior Product Manager, balancing both product and people management responsibilities. I guide the team while also contributing to the planning and direction of new controls from their early stages. I manage products such as WPF PDF Viewer, WinForms, and Flutter, which are currently in maintenance mode. A key part of my role is ensuring that customer queries and product requirements are addressed effectively while maintaining the quality of these products. Alongside this, I work on new initiatives such as Smart Data Extraction, where we explore new possibilities and incorporating machine learning capabilities.

About Me

I am a responsible and grounded person who values both personal and professional commitments. I tend to observe and understand people before opening up, so it may take me a little time to feel comfortable. But once I do, I’m more expressive, cheerful, and enjoy connecting with others.

I’m also naturally curious and open to learning, whether it’s about people, situations, or new skills. I try to keep an open mind, accept things as they come, and move forward with a positive outlook.

My Career Journey

My aspirations kept changing during childhood. At different stages, I wanted to become a pilot, an IAS officer, and later even considered pursuing CA because of my interest in mathematics. Things became clearer during higher secondary school when I chose Computer Science, and from then on, I knew I wanted to build a career in the technical field.

During college, I aspired to work for a large organization like Microsoft and was confident in my logical and technical abilities. However, my communication skills became a challenge during interviews, and despite several attempts, I wasn’t able to secure the opportunities I hoped for.

Eventually, I came across a walk-in interview at Syncfusion. After completing a three-day training program as part of the selection process, I was selected and began my career here. What started as one opportunity at the right time became an important turning point, giving me the platform to apply my strengths, keep learning, and build the career I had hoped for.

Key Learnings and Challenges

Throughout my journey, I’ve faced several challenges that have shaped the way I approach problems. One of the early ones came while adapting a control for mobile platforms, where the behavior didn’t work as expected. Stabilizing it required continuous analysis, experimentation, and collaboration with other teams.

Another significant challenge came while working on a machine learning-based feature. We faced repeated failures, and our initial approaches didn’t produce the expected results. At one point, the situation became frustrating for the team. Instead of trying to solve everything at once, I started breaking the problem into smaller parts and addressing them one by one. That change in approach helped us make steady progress and eventually achieve the desired outcome.

Experiences like these have taught me not to be discouraged when the first approach doesn’t work. I’ve learned to step back, understand the problem more clearly, try different possibilities, and keep moving forward until we find what works.

Finding a Sense of Belonging

Within my first month, I attended a discussion with Satish Babu and Johnson sir. When they asked for suggestions, I shared an observation about the testing process. Instead of dismissing it because I was new, they listened, appreciated my perspective, and even said they hadn’t expected such an observation. That moment gave me confidence that my ideas were valued, regardless of how new I was.

I felt the same encouragement during training. Whenever I completed a difficult program or received appreciation from Vijayakumar sir, it motivated me to push myself further.

After everything I had faced before joining Syncfusion, these early experiences gave me a strong sense of positivity and made me feel, “This is where I belong.” I even remember telling my friends, “Something tells me I’m going to stay here for a long time.” I couldn’t explain exactly why I felt that way, but from those early days, there was a sense of connection that made Syncfusion feel like the right place for me.

Every challenge teaches us something that an easy success may never reveal. That learning is what makes the journey truly successful.

Challenge That Strengthened Me

One challenge I remember was when my team and I spent nearly a month learning and working on a machine learning solution. After completing it, we checked with the licensing team and learned that we couldn't use it. With a release approaching and a commitment already made, we had very little time to find an alternative.

Instead of getting stuck on what had gone wrong, we decided to move forward with another similar solution. We had already gained experience from the work we had done, and that gave us the confidence that we could figure it out. Although we faced several conflicts while implementing the new approach, we managed to complete it within two days.

Experiences like this have shaped the way I look at challenges. I don't see a failure as the end of an effort. I try to take what I learned from it and think, “Whatever happens, we can handle it and find a way forward.” That mindset has helped me move through difficult situations with greater confidence.
