Career Journey
My first job after engineering, wasn’t in software at all…
Mindset Shift
For a long time, I believed I had to handle everything alone…
Lasting Influence
Years later, my coding style still reflects the discipline I learned from him.
Turning Point
One unexpected opportunity, quietly became the turning point of my career.
12+ Years
My Current Role
I work closely with the MAUI product and take responsibility for it from end to end. I decide what features and improvements go into each release by tracking customer needs, looking at what competitors are offering, and working with the team to plan and execute the right priorities. Along with product features, I also look at documentation and content quality to make sure we keep improving the overall product experience.
My Experience throughout My Journey
This could include my life experiences, challenges overcome, personal growth, and lessons learned.
About Me
I’m a talkative person and naturally like to share my thoughts on whatever topic comes up. I’m also curious about nature. When I see or hear something new, my first instinct is to ask what it is and understand it better. I like learning a little about many things, and I find it easy to connect and mingle with people. I have a wide circle of friends, and when someone comes to me with a problem, whether it’s a friend, a family member, or a teammate, I try to help by sharing how I would think through the situation and approach it.
My Career Journey
When I was in fifth grade, my principal once asked what I wanted to become. I said “engineer,” without much thought. After that, I never had a fixed plan or clear ambition. Life just moved step by step.
After tenth standard, I chose a diploma and later studied Information Technology in engineering. There was no strict roadmap—things unfolded naturally.
I completed my studies in May 2013 and started working the very next month. My first job was in telecalling. Within three months, I realised it wasn’t meant for me. That phase made me pause and think about what I truly wanted.
I returned to my hometown and began exploring new opportunities. Around that time, my cousins suggested trying in Chennai. Syncfusion was the first company I attended an interview with, and I was fortunate to get selected. I joined on April 9, 2014.
I started in the WPF Data Grid team under Sivakumar, and I continue to be part of the same team even today.
Gratitude Along the Journey
There was a turning point in my career when someone believed in me before I fully believed in myself. Antony Raj spoke up for me, and Sivakumar asked me to work on the Windows Forms DataGrid. Both of them trusted my ability and gave me a responsibility that felt much bigger at that time. I clearly remember asking Antony, “Are you sure I can do this?” and he simply said, “You can do it. Go ahead and build it.” That confidence pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and prove myself. They gave me the chance to show what I was capable of, and the trust they placed in me became the foundation of my growth. Within six months, I was promoted as an Internal Lead, and within a year, I moved into a Lead role.
A Phase I Would Relive
My favorite memories are from my early days at Syncfusion. The first two and a half years were truly special. Most of us were freshers from the same batch, with very few seniors. Sivakumar and Panneerselvam guided us, while the rest of us learned and grew together.
Those days were full of learning and joy. We often went out as a group – walking, talking, laughing, and enjoying every moment.
Even at work, though we had our share of challenges, we stayed cheerful. Trips were also a big part of our time together; once every six months was a must.
Those two to three years felt special and full of life. After that, things slowly changed as life moved forward. I got married, responsibilities grew, and time passed.
Even today, I sometimes wish I could go back and relive those days.
Be trustworthy, stay dedicated, and keep learning. When you give your best with sincerity and commitment, excellence follows naturally.

More About Me
Additional insights into my interests, experiences, and traits that shape my journey and perspective.
Values I Live By
Sometimes I’m careful about when and how I speak. If saying something openly might create unnecessary problems or disturb a situation, I choose to stay quiet or gently steer the conversation in another direction. For me, this isn’t about hiding the truth, but about being responsible with it. I try to stay honest in my actions and words, while also being mindful of how they affect others.
My Inspiration
Different people have inspired me in different ways. I believe everyone has their own qualities, and I try to learn something from each person. My mother-in-law is a big inspiration to me. The way she handles situations and manages the family has taught me a lot. She is kind-hearted, never speaks badly about anyone, and I’ve learned many important lessons from her.
Bouncing Back from Tough Times
Whenever I face a problem, whether it’s related to my career or my personal life, I talk to people who genuinely care about me, my well-wishers. Speaking to them helps me bounce back. They may not know every detail of the situation, but they know me well and truly want me to be okay. When I talk to them, they give me honest guidance, and that itself gives me a lot of relief.
My Perspective on Leadership
For me, good leadership starts with patience and respect. When people feel respected, they are more open to learning and contributing. Leadership also means standing with the team during difficult times. Transparency is very important to me. If I can’t be fully available because of personal responsibilities, I communicate that openly, and inform when I’ll be back, and make sure the team knows how to reach me in the meantime. I don’t want anyone to feel unsupported. This is how I try to build trust and make sure the team feels guided. That’s what meaningful leadership means to me.
How I Like to Be Remembered
I would like to be remembered as someone who is easy to approach and genuinely willing to help. I want people to feel comfortable coming to me with their questions, knowing that I will share whatever guidance or support I can. More than titles or achievements, I hope people remember me as a supportive person, someone who encourages them, guides them when needed, and stands by them as a mentor.
Life Beyond Work
With a busy schedule, I don’t really get long stretches of free time, so I relax in small, meaningful moments rather than through planned hobbies. Music plays a big role in helping me unwind. I enjoy listening to songs and often sing along, which brings a sense of calm to my day. Sleep has also become one of the most important ways I take care of myself. At times, I scroll through YouTube or check quick news updates to stay informed about what’s happening around me.
My Personal Achievement
When I think about what makes me feel proud outside of work, it’s not about any specific milestone or achievement. What matters most to me is the progress I’ve made as a person. Being able to say that I’m one step ahead of where I used to be, emotionally, mentally, and in the way I live my life, gives me a deep sense of satisfaction. My standard of living has also improved, and that means a lot to me.
People Who Influenced Me
Sivakumar from our team has been a big influence on me. When I first saw his coding standards, I was honestly amazed. I learned from him how to maintain code properly and manage projects the right way. Even today, if you look at my code, you’ll see that I still follow the same standards. He strongly believes in perfection, and he pushed me to reach the level he expected, and that discipline has stayed with me till today.
A Message from My Journey
No matter the roles we play in life—whether as a parent, partner, or family member—we remain individuals at heart. Life doesn’t pause with responsibilities; it moves forward with our personal dreams, emotional freedom, and self-respect. There is always a next step ahead, and choosing to take it is what helps us grow and move forward.
