Challenge and Solution

My partner, Brian Mohr, and I founded the company D3 Intelligence (D3I) in November 2018. Our mission is to help (Cyber) Intelligence Teams be more effective and better enable their customers to make better decisions. Brian has been handling the business side of the house while I’ve handled the tech.

Our core offering is the WorkINT platform, which has been built to manage the entire intelligence lifecycle. We’ve developed over 30 Angular components that go beyond ticketing and workflow. D3I’s patent-pending technology integrates requirements, sources, and customer management into the intelligence workflow, providing unique insight into a team’s effectiveness and ability to deliver on not just what their customers want, but what they need to drive their businesses.

When we began the company, we naturally started off using open-source components. However, I quickly determined that those components wouldn’t cut it as our business grew. Ours is a data-centric platform sitting on top of a database, which means heavy use of data grids. I’ve found other data grids, tables, views, or whatever they may be named, are often limited in their capabilities or require a lot of workaround and labor-intensive coding to realize.

With Syncfusion, everything I want a table to do, the DataGrid component does, and it’s usually a matter of simply adding “thisfeature = true”. I evaluated grids long and hard and these are the best out there. As such, I’m in the process of migrating the dozens of legacy components. With other components, such as the Dropdown Menu control, Syncfusion is the only one to offer the features I need, especially headers support.

What I didn’t know and couldn’t have known at the time of purchase, was the hidden value that Syncfusion delivers: the strength of its support team. They are knowledgeable and quick in response and I’ve come to feel that they are an extension of my own development efforts. I couldn’t be more appreciative of what they do.

While we have cool and customer-pleasing technology in our own right, Syncfusion has given us the added polish and ease-of-use that really puts us over the top. We are currently working to implement the Document Editor (with the tremendous help of the support team). We close our prospect demos with a roadmap and ‘coming soon’ talk centered on that component. Invariably the response is “wow.”
