Sorting and filtering are Excel features that help view and manage large data efficiently. These features are supported by Syncfusion .NET Excel library (XlsIO) .
Sorting allows you to sort worksheet data like numbers, text, and colors in a number of ways.
Columns with number, text, or date values can be sorted in either ascending or descending order.
Cell values with different foreground or cell colors can be sorted, which helps in visualizing values by priority.
Sorting can be customized by choosing multiple columns in a required order.
Auto filtering is a quick and easy way to find, show, or hide values in one or more columns. Applying this filter will display the rows that meet the filter criteria.
Excel Library supports the Excel color filter to filter columns quickly based on the foreground color or cell color that is applied either manually or by conditional formatting.
Icon sets create visual effects in Excel data. Applying icon sets for numeric data adds icons to each cell based on its value. Excel Library supports filtering data based on cell icons.
Excel Library supports the Excel combination filter to filter data when a column contains different data types like text, time values, and date-time values. It also filters data based on multiple criteria.
The custom filter in Excel provides an option to filter data with various conditions based on cell type. Excel Library supports all the filter conditions of Excel.
The dynamic filter is a relative date filter that filters data based on cell date. Excel Library supports the dynamic filter types day, week, month, and year.
Excel Library supports the Excel advanced filter to either filter data with complex criteria (like filtering data in the same location) or filter and then copy the filtered data to a new location. This helps identify duplicate records and copy the extracted data to another location within the worksheet.
