Jan Eriksson is the owner of and sole developer at Securum, where he builds mobile, web, and Windows applications.
Challenges
Jan has been working on a tool for generating C# code for about 15 years. Here’s how it works: He codes a database first; the tool reads the database with all tables, stored procedures, and so on; and then the tool writes code that he uses in projects for clients.
For about 12 of those years, he used Telerik components, but with the latest price increase, he couldn’t justify the expense any longer for the features it delivered.
Solution
Jan’s search for an affordable solution led him to Syncfusion Essential Studio. In addition to its price point, he was impressed by the breadth of components and features for the .NET MAUI, ASP.NET MVC, Blazor, and Windows Forms platforms.
Results
With Syncfusion integrated into his development toolkit, his projects are nicer and a little faster. The UI is friendly, the components were easy to integrate, and, most importantly for his clientele, the components can be deployed to mobile, web, and desktop environments.
While he encountered a little bit of a learning curve initially, “Once you get started with Syncfusion, it’s easy to keep going,” he said.
Jan continues to explore and implement the diverse selection of Syncfusion components at his disposal, and he expects to incorporate them into the next version of his C#-generating tool.
