Roman Sallin is the Director of AlCoda GmbH, a provider of software tailored to the unique needs of public libraries throughout Switzerland.
Challenges
For 25 years, AlCoda has provided solutions for public libraries—a niche market unlike any other. But until three years ago, AlCoda’s flagship product was available only as a Windows client. Director Roman Salin wanted to change that by transitioning AlCoda to a web development platform.
Looking into Blazor’s emerging technology, he found a simple framework that allowed rich UIs to be built quickly. This transition was an obvious necessity, but his current component vendor’s Blazor offering was complicated to use and lacked documentation.
That’s when he remembered Syncfusion®, a company he was already using for its file-format libraries.
Solution
Exploring Syncfusion®, he discovered an expansive library of components with remarkable features—just the fit he was looking for. Since his team is small, the superb documentation and responsive support Syncfusion® offered allowed AlCoda to build its Blazor application even faster.
Results
- Data presentation in a feature-rich table using the Syncfusion® DataGrid control.
- Structured charts for statistical presentations, such as book-loan metrics, that libraries can send to the authoritative bodies they report to.
- Access to a bounty of simple controls with useful templates, all elegantly made.
