TL;DR: Microsoft Build 2025 showcased groundbreaking AI tools and developer frameworks. Syncfusion® unveiled Code Studio, contributed to .NET MAUI, and demoed real-world AI agent solutions, empowering developers to build faster and smarter.
The Welcome Keynote—Satya Nadella
Microsoft Build 2025 was, once again, an exciting, educational, and fun event. The first-day keynote, led by Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, had numerous ground-breaking announcements. The focus was on AI tools and frameworks that empower software developers to harness the power of AI in their work and in creating agents for their customers to solve real-world challenges. One key announcement was that they are making Copilot open source in Visual Studio Code. To learn more, check out the full recordings.
Syncfusion® announcements and presence

At our Syncfusion® booth, we connected with hundreds of attendees, both long-time customers and new faces. We demonstrated the power of our Essential Studio® Enterprise components, along with the full Bold product line:
We also showcased our newly released Toolkit for .NET MAUI, an open-source library we launched at Build in collaboration with Microsoft’s .NET MAUI team. This release represents a shared commitment to enhancing the developer experience in building modern, cross-platform applications.

Syncfusion® presenters
Building an AI agent that builds a UI
We were grateful to have time allotted for the Syncfusion® team to present at a theater on the Hub floor. It was standing room only! We were honored to contribute to the conference agenda with a technical session led by Shriram Sankaran, senior product manager at Syncfusion®: From Prompt to Product: Build an AI Agent that Generates a UI.
Shriram demonstrated how to create an AI agent using Microsoft’s AutoGen framework, turning natural language prompts into functional HTML and JavaScript UIs. The live demo showcased a multi-agent system integrated with the GitHub Copilot, offering a glimpse into the future of developer workflows—faster UI generation, reduced manual coding, and more time for complex problem-solving.

.NET MAUI Toolkit and collaboration with Microsoft
On the final day of MS Build, Uma Maheswari Chandrabose, assistant general manager at Syncfusion®, had the opportunity to join Microsoft’s David Ortinau and Beth Massi on stage briefly to highlight the Syncfusion® contributions to the open-source Toolkit for .NET MAUI.
Uma expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with Microsoft and shared how honored Syncfusion® is to be part of a community effort that strengthens and grows the .NET MAUI ecosystem for developers worldwide. Over the past six months, we’ve actively contributed to the .NET MAUI ecosystem—resolving bugs, improving test automation and CI pipelines, reviewing community pull requests, and offering free, open-source UI controls. To date, we’ve successfully merged over 350 pull requests, with another 100 currently under review. That accounts for nearly 65% of all community contributions in this space!
We’ve recently added six new controls to the Toolkit, comprising pickers and progress bars. These new additions are fine-tuned for AOT (ahead-of-time) compilation and trimming, especially on iOS—ensuring your apps stay lean, fast, and performance-ready.
