13+ Years
My Current Role
I’m currently working as a Senior Design Manager, handling Syncfusion’s marketing design team and overseeing the creative direction for our marketing initiatives. My role involves mentoring and training designers, reviewing their work, and guiding the team to deliver designs that align with our brand and quality standards. Along with supporting the team’s growth, I oversee marketing-related design initiatives, provide constructive feedback, and ensure consistency across all deliverables. My focus is on helping the team create impactful designs that effectively support our marketing goals.
My Experience Throughout My Journey
This could include my life experiences, challenges overcome, personal growth, and lessons learned.
About Me
I would describe myself as a cheerful and easy-going person who enjoys being around people and keeping things light. I have a good sense of humour and prefer to approach life with a positive mindset.
I also have a strong passion for art and design. Whenever something interests me, I naturally like to explore it in depth, observing and analysing even the smallest details to understand it better. That curiosity and attention to detail are qualities I enjoy bringing into both my work and my everyday life.
My Career Journey
From a young age, I was passionate about art and always wanted to build a career in a creative field rather than a technical one. After completing my higher secondary education, I pursued Fine Arts, choosing one of the few colleges in Tamil Nadu that offered the course.
After graduation, I began my career as a concept designer in the visual effects industry. Over the next few years, I worked across different companies in roles such as concept design and matte painting, gaining valuable experience and exploring different forms of visual creativity.
As my journey progressed, my interests gradually expanded into digital design, which eventually led me to join Syncfusion. Although I now work in a technology-driven environment, my role continues to revolve around creativity, allowing me to stay connected to the passion that first inspired my career.
The Sense of Belonging
Although I formally studied design and began my career in creative fields, I gradually expanded my experience over the years by working in UI/UX as well. When I stepped into my current role, I felt that everything I had learned and experienced had finally come together in a meaningful way.
The role allows me to combine creativity, design, and leadership while doing work I genuinely enjoy. That alignment between my passion, experience, and everyday work is what gives me a true sense of belonging.
A Challenge that Strengthened Me
One of the most challenging phases of my journey was designing the user experience for BoldDesk from scratch as the sole UX designer. I was involved in every stage of the product until its Beta release, from defining the overall user experience and creating user flows to designing the interface, building the design system, and crafting the iconography. It was a demanding responsibility that required me to balance multiple aspects of the product while working closely with product managers and developers. That experience strengthened my ability to take ownership, adapt to challenges, and stay focused on delivering a seamless user experience.
Choose your path based on your own strengths and interests, not by following others, because what suits one person may not be right for another.

More About Me
Additional insights into my interests, experiences, and traits that shape my journey and perspective.
My Perspective on Leadership
For me, leadership begins with having a strong understanding of the work. But knowledge alone is not enough. A good leader should also be able to share that knowledge, guide others effectively, and help them build confidence in their own abilities.
I believe a leader's responsibility is not just to deliver results, but to help the team grow and move to the next level. That requires a balance of technical expertise, clear guidance, and strong people management.
Above all, patience is essential. Everyone learns at a different pace, and a leader should understand that, adapt their approach, and support each person in a way that helps them grow.
My Best Appreciation
Some of the most meaningful appreciation I have received has come from both within and outside the company. Earlier in my career, I shared many of my design projects on Behance, where they received wide recognition. Some of those designs have remained among the top-ranked for years and continue to be appreciated across the design community in India.
Within Syncfusion, I have also been encouraged by the appreciation I received from Manoj and other colleagues, who recognized my work for its creativity and originality. Their feedback gave me the confidence to keep exploring new ideas and continually improve my work.
To me, both forms of recognition have been equally meaningful. They remind me that consistent effort, creativity, and a passion for learning are always noticed and valued.
Gratitude Along the Journey
One person I am especially grateful to is my college professor K. Vilvanaathan. Coming from a small village, I stepped into college with limited exposure, and he played a significant role in shaping me by teaching me not only technical skills but also valuable life lessons. Much of what I am today has been influenced by his guidance.
At Syncfusion, I am grateful to Manoj and Vijayanand sir for the trust and support they have shown me over the years. Manoj entrusted me with the responsibility of leading the team, believing in my ability to deliver quality work, and that confidence has meant a great deal to me. During a period when I faced health challenges, both Manoj and Vijay Sir stood by me with understanding and encouragement, for which I remain deeply thankful.
Life Beyond Work
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. Whenever I get the chance, I like painting, drawing, and, most of all, baking. It has become a hobby that I especially enjoy sharing with my children.
A few years ago, I set up a small baking space at home, and since then I have been baking cakes, cookies, and cupcakes for my family. Preparing homemade birthday cakes for my family has become a tradition that I always look forward to.
A Phase I Would Relive
If I could relive one phase of my life, it would be my college days. During the final three years of my five-year course, we spent nearly a month each year travelling to different parts of India as part of our college tours.
Those journeys were filled with new experiences, memorable moments, and the joy of travelling with friends. Spending an entire month exploring different places made those years truly special.
Even today, those trips remain some of my happiest memories, and I would love the chance to experience them all over again.
