- A closed line opens by itself
A closed line opens by itself
Hi,
When I move task7 in the attached sample code, the closed line opens by itself.
Is there any way to fix this?
This problem seems to occur only the first time, and even if I make the task5 line closed again and move task7, the line remains closed.

Hi Akira,
Greetings from Syncfusion Support,
We can replicate the problem our end from your shared details. We have logged
this reported issue, ‘enableMultiTaskbar and allowTaskbarOverlap enabled, dragging
a parent task doesn't expand it’ as a bug. Our team is working on a fix, which
we plan to include in the July 8 patch
release.

Hi Ajithkumar,
Is it correct that the EJ2 Gantt specification is that rows are expanded when the parent task is moved?
I would like to prevent it from being expanded.
Is there any way to do this?
Hi Akira,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Previously, we had considered this as a bug. However, upon further
review, we found that the reported case is actually an inconsistent behavior of
the Gantt Chart. Therefore, we have logged it as a feature improvement “When
the parent taskbar is dragged and dropped, it automatically expands.” In this
improvement, we have planned to prevent the parent taskbar from expanding
during drag and drop operations in the Gantt Chart. This feature is scheduled
to be implemented and rolled out in the Volume 2 Service Pack release at
the end of July 2025. Please disregard the previous update.

Hi,
I am encountering a problem in the attached sample code. When I move task7, the closed line unexpectedly opens by itself.

This behavior seems to occur only the first time I move task7. Even if I close the line for task5 again and then move task7, the line remains closed.
Any guidance on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
