I am migrating my Xamarin.Forms project to MAUI and noticed that the HitTest  and override OnLongPress methods from ChartTrackballBehavior are not available in SfCartesianChart. Will this HitTest and OnLongPress method be available soon?"

Could you please share the requirement based on the hit test functionality? It would be helpful if you could provide a use case. This will allow us to explore other possible solutions. We look forward to your response.

we use it to identify when the user drag its finger out of the chart and keep the trackball visible

Hi Jair,

We have validated your query and would like to inform you that you can currently keep the trackball visible when the touch interaction ends by overriding the TouchUp method in ChartTrackballBehavior and removing the base implementation. However, due to the current code structure, the trackball will automatically hide when the touch exits the chart control.

To address this limitation, we have already created a feature request that will allow the trackball to remain visible even when the touch interaction exits the chart. You can track the status and progress of this feature through the following feedback portal link:

This feature is scheduled to be included in our upcoming Volume 3 release, which is expected to roll out in mid-September 2024.

In our previous response, we overlooked providing a demonstration of how the trackball remains visible when the touch exits the control with our current implementation. For your reference, we have now attached a demo video showcasing this behavior.
