How to store splitter state?

I have a splitter with two panes. I would like to get and set the position of the divider programmatically.

How to procceed?

We have validated your reported query “I would like to get and set the position of the divider programmatically.”. We suspect that your requirement is to maintain the state of the splitter panes. We have recently provided the persistence support, for the splitter panes with our Volume 1 SP release 19.1.63 when the enablePersistence property is enabled.
