How do I get through the JavaScript section on syncfusion?

I’ve been working through freecodecamp & the JavaScript section is really killing me. I didn’t have much of a problem w HTML and CSS but the JavaScript challenges have gotten really hard. & I honestly can’t even tell how some of it even plays into the website as a whole. When I can’t figure out a challenge I look at the solution and try to make sense of it from there but It’s gotten to the point where I complete one challenge and stop working on it for the day cause it’s that difficult and confusing. Is my confusion normal? Should I just continue to work through it and hope it makes sense later ? Everything from the record collection to the section about for loops has been really confusing onsyncfusion
