Order points of a series (y-axis) per day (x-axis) in a stacking-column chart

Hello,

I´m using the SfChart with type "StackingColumns". I`m searching for a solution, to be able to sort the points of a series per day. The day displays on the x-axis. At the moment I`m only able to sort all series for all days. I would need something to define the order of the series for every day.

In the attached image the dark red blocks are one series and the dark blue blocks are one series. Now I would like to place the dark blue blocks "above" the dark red block on the day "30.11." for example.

Is this possible? Or can I achieve it with any other chart-type or trick?

Thank you.
Michael

Hi Michael Witzik,

Greetings from Syncfusion.

In the StackingColumnSeries, Y values stack on top of each other in the specified series order. Currently changing the order of rendering series only for the specified X axis is not possible.

Hence currently we are validating this to achieve with any other customization of series rendering with other charts and we will update the complete details on or before December 2, 2020.

Hi Michael Witzik,

Sorry for the delay.

We are facing some difficulties in achieving your requirement and due to complexity, so we need some more time and we will update the complete details on December 4, 2020.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your patience.

We can achieve the same requirement by creating series copy like below images, but our development team not suggested this solution because of creating and organizing multiple duplicate series, will cause any issues with chart interaction features.

For example, we need to create almost 9 series (6 duplicates) to show 3 actual series.

Image 2: Creating duplicates

Image 3: Final output.

If you ok with above workaround, we will update the runnable sample for this.

Saravanan.

Hello,

thank you for your answer.

At the moment I found a similar solution. Every series has only one point. When I show data for 14 days and have about 10 series per day, this still runs very fast. I created a table where I store the colors I use in the diagram, so that series from the same category also have the same color.

With this solution, I can add the series per day in the desired order and there are no problems, because every point has an unique PointIndex and SeriesIndex.

Kind regards,
Michael
