SfMaps SHP and DB Files

Hi,

Please can you explain how you have generated the shp/dbf files that you have in your samples i.e. https://github.com/syncfusion/xamarin-demos/tree/master/Forms/Maps/Maps.Android/Assets? I have installed QGIS however it complains that it isn't a valid file for import.

I am trying to create a Australia and New Zealand combined dbf and shp file for use on my SfMaps projects as the existing australia.shp file does not include New Zealand.

Hi Jonty Stephan,

Greetings from Syncfusion.

Query: How you have generated the shp/dbf files that you have in your sample

We don’t have any tools to create the shape files/dbf from our side. Based on the input shapefile, we are rendering shapes in our SfMaps control. You have to download the required states data from websites. We have shared below websites link to get the shapes files.

Note: Syncfusion is not responsible for the data license which you download from those websites.

You created the shp files for this example: https://github.com/syncfusion/xamarin-demos/tree/master/Forms/Maps/Maps.Android/Assets.

Please upload the Oceania shp file as well.

The sites you listed do not have the same shp file available.

Hi Jonty Stephan,

As we informed earlier don’t have any tools to create the shape files/dbf from our side. SfMaps will be rendered based on the input shape file. You can download the Oceania SHP and also other SHP files from the below link.

Note: Syncfusion is not responsible for the data license which you download from those websites.

You can also get the Oceania SHP file from the below link.
