Syncfusion Project Migration utility not working.


Hello, 

Anyone use this tool?  Right mouse on project ..  'Syncfusion Blazor' .. you get the 'Migrate ...' popping left as shown.




You press submit and nothing happens.  A log is created in the project folder "SFBlazorError2020-07-23.log"  "SFBlazor" is my test project name.  Here is the log error.  I searched the internet and nothing pops up.

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion support.

Please follow the below steps to resolve the issue in your machine.
  1. In Visual Studio 2019 goto Extensions -> Manage Extensions ->  Installed and then uninstall the Syncfusion Blazor Template Studio extension by click on Uninstall button.
  2. if ASP.NET Core Extensions - Syncfusion extension also has been installed, please uninstall this also by click on the Uninstall button
  3. Close the Visual Studio to start the uninstall process.
  4. Then open the Visual Studio again and  goto Extensions -> Manage Extensions ->  Installed. If the Syncfusion EJ2 Web conversion Migration extension installed, please uninstall the extension by click Uninstall button.
  5. Close the Visual Studio to start the uninstall process.
  6. Then install the Syncfusion Blazor Template Studio and ASP.NET Core extension by double click on the below extension files.
    Blazor: C:\Program Files (x86)\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\Blazor\18.2.0.44\Utilities\Extensions\Syncfusion Blazor Template Studio.vsix
    ASP.NET Core: C:\Program Files (x86)\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\Blazor\18.2.0.44\Utilities\Extensions\Syncfusion Essential JS2 AspNet Core VSExtensions.vsix
  7. If you are not installed the Syncfusion Blazor and ASP.NET Core setup, you can download the extension file from the below Visual Studio market place link and install.
    Blazor: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=SyncfusionInc.Blazor-Extension
    ASP.NET Core: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=SyncfusionInc.ASPNETCoreExtensions

    Note: If you want the ASP.NET Core extension you can install it by follow the above steps. If you are no need the ASP.NET Core extension, please skip the ASP.NET Core installation steps from the above steps.
  8. Then Try the migration process in your blazor application
If still you are facing the issue, could you please update the below details to check the issue further from our side. 
  1. Reproducing steps with the screenshot
  2. Which project type you have tried to migrate
  3. Which Syncfusion version you have already used in your blazor app
  4. Goto Help - About Microsoft Visual Studio and click on the Copy info button and paste the information in a text file and share them.
  5. Gatherlog file. Please follow the steps from the link to get the Gatherlog file.
