We suspect that you are using Batch mode of editing in Grid. If so, the we could reproduce the reported problem when using
Batch mode of editing in Grid. We have confirmed it is a bug and logged the defect report
“EditTemplate not working in Batch editing with template column”. Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping us improve our product.
At Syncfusion, we are committed to fixing all validated defects (subject to technological feasibility and Product Development Life Cycle ) and including the defect fix in our upcoming weekly patch release which is expected to be rolled out by the end of August 2020.

If you are using any other mode(Inline,Dialog) of Grid editing other than Batch then get back to us with your complete grid rendering codes or sample application to further proceed on this.
