Bootstrap 4 Released

Bootstrap 4 is finally available! This years-in-the-making update to the popular open source toolkit brings with it a number of improvements that developers are sure to find useful.

Bootstrap 4: New features, same toolkit.

Print styles and utility classes lead the charge, with improvements to printed page rendering and new display values for print display utilities. It is now easier and quicker to add borders to components, whether applied across all possible positions or just to a subset. Color maps are open to greater customization, and applying themes to applications is easier than ever.

These additions are on top of general improvements across the entire Bootstrap environment. To make it easier to process these vast and often subtle changes, a total overhaul of example files has been performed. For both new and current users, Bootstrap 4 is as accessible as it has ever been.

At Syncfusion, we know that Bootstrap is an important tool for many developers. Most of our web tools are compatible with Bootstrap, with all but our Essential JS 2 platform featuring built-in support. This new update will bring more functionality to developers, and we hope to continue being an additional resource for anyone looking to make use of it. Currently, Succinctly series author Peter Shaw is working on Bootstrap 4 Succinctly, to be released later this year. This new e-book will help readers get up to speed with the changes to Bootstrap. For those who can’t wait, Shaw’s earlier books, Twitter Bootstrap 3 Succinctly and Twitter Bootstrap Succinctly remain excellent entry points.

These e-books remain great ways to start understanding Bootstrap.
