Baskaran Kumaravel

During college, one of my friends inspired me with his curiosity and willingness to try new things. Even when he didn't know something, he would explore, experiment, and find a way forward. Watching him gave me the confidence to approach unfamiliar challenges with an open mind. 

Professionally, one of my biggest influences has been Baskaran V. Working under his guidance, I admired his habit of constantly exploring new ideas and embracing emerging technologies. He showed me the importance of staying curious and never becoming complacent. 

As I moved across different teams, I also learned a great deal from leaders like Rajendran SP, Balaji and Venkatesan. Long before AI tools became widely available, I watched them patiently study documentation, research problems thoroughly, and evaluate different approaches before making a decision. Their methodical way of working taught me the value of patience, thoughtful problem-solving, and continuous self-improvement. 

To me, leadership begins with confidence. The way a leader responds to challenges has a direct impact on the team. When leaders remain calm, positive, and focused, they create a sense of confidence that helps others stay composed, even during difficult situations. That's why I believe it's important to absorb pressure rather than pass it on to the team. 

I also believe effective leadership comes from understanding the product and its purpose. The better you understand what you're building, the better you can guide your team, answer their questions, and help them make the right decisions. That's why I see continuous learning as an essential part of being a leader. 

Most importantly, I believe knowledge grows when it's shared. Whenever I learn something new, I make it a point to share it with my team so we can all grow together. To me, one of a leader's greatest responsibilities is helping others become confident and capable enough to succeed on their own.

The value I try to live by is continuous learning. No matter where I am or what role I take on, I never want to lose the curiosity to explore something new. Every experience, challenge, and new skill adds to my growth. 

I also believe in being self-motivated. While guidance and feedback from others are valuable, it's equally important to trust your own judgment and make thoughtful decisions. Even when things don't go as planned, I see every experience as an opportunity to learn, take responsibility, and improve. 

For me, staying curious, thinking independently, and continuously improving are the values that guide both my work and my life.

One person who has always inspired me is Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Coming from a humble rural background, he went on to become one of India's most respected leaders through his hard work, knowledge, and dedication. His journey is a powerful reminder that our beginnings do not define our future. 

What inspires me most is that he proved ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things with determination and the right mindset. His life has always encouraged me to believe that where we come from should never limit what we can become. 

Whenever I think about growth and ambition, Dr. Kalam's journey reminds me that with perseverance and continuous learning, it's possible to make a meaningful impact. 

The memories that bring the biggest smile to my face are the ones I shared with my friends. It wasn't anything extraordinary—it was the everyday fun that made those times so special.

During my early days at Syncfusion, many of us stayed together, and our evenings were filled with games, friendly teasing, long conversations, and plenty of laughter. Those simple days helped us build friendships that I still cherish.

Whenever I think back to that time, it's the warmth of those friendships and the joy we shared that stay with me. Those memories continue to bring a smile to my face even today.

What keeps me motivated is the chance to discover something new every day. I approach every task with curiosity, believing that every experience has something valuable to offer.

Whether the work is familiar or challenging, I enjoy exploring better approaches and different ways of solving problems. That curiosity keeps my work engaging and encourages me to keep improving.

For me, every task is more than something to complete—it's a chance to grow, refine my skills, and become a little better than I was yesterday. That desire to keep exploring and improving is what keeps me going.

One of the biggest shifts in my thinking has been moving away from the idea of perfection. Earlier, I believed everything had to be perfect. Over time, I realized that progress matters more than perfection. Instead of trying to get everything right the first time, I now focus on learning, improving, and making steady progress.

Another belief that changed was how I viewed success and hard work. During my school days, I thought simply showing up every day was enough to succeed. Later, I realized that success doesn't come from attendance alone - it comes from the effort you put into learning and applying what you learn. I also believed that working longer hours automatically produced better results. Experience taught me that working with clarity and choosing the right approach is often far more valuable than simply spending more time.

These experiences have taught me that success isn't about being perfect or staying busy—it's about continuous learning, purposeful effort, and making meaningful progress every day.
