deleting readonly text

We are evaluating Essential Edit control for creating and editing business rules. We want some part of rule read only. User can keep whole read only part or remove it completely. But Edit control does not allow to delete read only text. Is there any way to get around this limitation?

Hi Ravinder,

Thanks for your interest in Syncfusion products.

This was possible with the earlier versions of our product and has been disable now as a non-standard behavior, I have logged a defect report to make this behavior optional via API's. We will update you patch with this implemenation through our Direct-Trac support system in two weeks' time.[June 23, 2011].
