Enter key press in ComboBoxAdv locks controls

I have a ComboBoxAdv control where the user can type in a selection. This works if the user selects the record by clicking the dropdown and selecting a record with the mouse, but if the user doesn't select the drop down and just manually types in the ComboBoxAdv control and hits 'Enter' key, all other controls on the form are locked for some reason.
