Is there a problem with UpDown control ValueProperty binding

Is there a problem with UpDown control ValueProperty binding?
I just wrote some simple XAML:

or

and the DataContext of the parent window is set:

The MyValue property is double type.

But the binding never works.
I tried the binding expression with UpDown.StepProperty, it works fine.

Finally, I tried the TwoWay binding, it works fine.
It now meets my requirement, but I still wonder whether there is a problem with it.

Thanks.
