Designer Not Showing Columns when AutoPopulateColumns=False

hi We are trying to use GridDataControl to display the Search Results in the Grid, I have following questions,

We are using MVVM model so how can we bind the Properties of View Model to Grid Columns?

How to track the selection of GridRow and update the View Model accordingly?

And when I set the AutoPopulateColumns=False only empty box is showing up in the Designer, even when I run also nothing is showing up?

If my search returns Zero Results, I need to show a message in the first row of the Grid "Zero Result Found"

I would really appreciate an early response.
