Firstly... having xlsIO forums in ASp.Net, Winforms and WPF (and possibly more) is a tad confusing as xlsIO is not project type dependant, is it? A consolidated area for this class (and likewise for the word objects) would be much easier to use.
I have workbook1 which references workbook2. If workbook2 changes (in any of the referenced cells) workbook1 will update the reference values when the file is opened in Excel. Is there any way to replicate / trigger an update of cell references with Syncfusion?

1. As you said, XlsIO and Word are platform independent components. Having platform dependent forums helps us to send precise samples and get quick information about the environment in use.
2. It could be possible using XlsIO and Calculate. Could you please refer to the sample in the following location?
