Alignment lines like in Visual Studio

In visual studio when you lay down - let us say - a label, then lay down a second one, lines are drawn across the canvas to help align the two labels.

Is there a way I might do this on a diagram when I I'm trying to align symbols?

This is not implemented as of now. We have taken this as an Feature request with feature ID 3921.
