GroupingGridToExcel for GGC with GridColumnDescriptors

Hi there,

I tried GroupingGridExcelConverterControl on GridGroupingControl and yes it works fine.

However, as soon as I specify the GridColumnDescriptors (so that the grid only displays the columns I wanted and I can set the width etc), the exporting no longer works fine.

It only exports these 2 lines:
"MyTable: items"
""

And the grid content is not exported at all.
Can you please advise how to get around to it?

Also, what needs to be done via the code so that the Excel doesn't show grey backcolor (or shade) on the column headers?

Attached is the sample project code.

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for posting query to us.

I have tested your sample in version 6.3.0.30 version. But I am afraid I was not able to find any issue as you mentioned .

Please refer the screen shot:

Thanks for the reply.

Attached is the screen shot for my case using the same code attached in the first thread.
I'm using version 4.402.0.51.

Also, is it possible to remove the backcolor of the (column) headers in the Excel when exporting?

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for your update.

I was able to see the issue. Actually Essential Studio 4.4.0.55 is not compatible with VS 2008. From version 6.1.0.34 onwards only is fully compatible with VS 2008. Since you are using VS 2008, please consider to upgrade to our latest version which has lot of bugs fixed and advanced features.

Thank you so much for the reply Jisha.
Our company actually has upto the 6.3x version, but when we attempted the upgrade from 4.4x to 6.3x there were a lot of errors so we had to rollback the deployment :(

Oh well, but thanks agian for the help!
