"GridWebControl" is missing in Toolbox of MS Visual Studio 2008

Dear Syncfusion,
I am trying your Essntial Studio 6.2 trial on MS Visual Studi. Specially, I am interested on the Grid control.
As you see in the attached file, the "GrodControl" is selected in "Choose Toolbox Items", but no "GridControl" or "GridWebControl" appears in the toolbox.
I tried also to use the statements "Syncfusion:GridControl" and "Syncfusion:GridWebControl" manually in the aspx code, without success.
Best Regards
Navid

Hi Navid,

Thank you for evaluating Syncfusion Products.

The GridWebControl is marked as Toolboxitem(false), in the project itself. So it would not be available in the Toolbox. You can use this control just by registering it in the aspx page with tag prefixes. Please refer the sample in the below link which illustrates the above:

http://websamples.syncfusion.com/samples/Grid.Web/6.2.0.40/Grid_ASP_Toolbox_VB/main.htm

Also, we have depreciated this control since this control lacks in several ways, for instance it generates an image map of the whole grid and renders it on the page on every post back. Instead you can use GridGroupingControl which has several features than GridWebControl such as Column resizing, Sorting, Grouping, Paging etc. Please refer below link to know the features of GridGroupingControl:

http://www2.syncfusion.com/ug_62/gridweb/FeatureOverview.html

And also you can refer our online browser samples from the below link, where you can find the working samples for GridGroupingControl:

http://www2.syncfusion.com/samplebrowser/samples.aspx

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Janagan.
