Visual Studio 2008

Hi,

as I read in the Microsoft news today, the release of VS 2008 could be by the end of November. So what about the the Syncfusion suite - will it work with VS 2008?

Cheers,
Franz

Hi Franz,

Syncfusion Essential Studio support VS2008 since beta version itself, such as VS2008 beta1 and beta2. We glad to inform you Syncfusion released powerful beta version of Tools.WPF and Chart.WPF products. You can get more information about the WPF products and evaluation version download details from here.

Thanks for the interest in Syncfusion products.

Thanks,
Venugopal.

It should be pointed out that the only version of the Syncfusion library that supports VS 2008 is the 6.x BETA version. This was finally confirmed for us in a Direct Trac ticket that requires a few go-rounds.

We can't deploy or update our commercial application using a BETA library, so officially... we're not able to upgrade to VS 2008 until Syncfusion can support it.

Sadly, every other component vendor we work with (four others) supports VS 2008.

Jeff
