Changes On PrepareStyle Have No Effect

I am trying to use a technique that I successfully employed in 4.3.0.30, but no longer works the same in 5.1.0.51.

I add a new series to the chart, and hook the PrepareStyle event. I then set args.Style.Symbol.Color to define the color on a point by point basis. This works in 4.3. In 5.1 it seems that the new themes (Palette?) override my color no matter what. How do I disable this behavior?

I am not able to reproduce this issue which you have mentioned in the previous update.
