Zoom mode by first page width

Hi.

Could you please tell me if it’s possible to set the ZoomMode="FitToWidth" parameter based on the width of the first page?

We have a scenario where, for example, the 5th page is very wide, and during rendering, the initial zoom level is set to 3%, which, in turn, overloads the server.

Thanks.

Hi Alexandr Mykhailov,

Thanks for the update. When a PDF document contains pages of varying sizes, including pages with greater widths (for example, landscape‑oriented pages), the zoom mode is calculated based on the widest page in the document.

As a result, when the ZoomMode is set to FitToWidth, the viewer fits the content to the width of the widest page.

This is the expected behavior of the Syncfusion Vue PDF Viewer.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you need any further clarification.

Good afternoon.

I understand that it uses the largest page as the basis. Is it possible to set it to use the width of the first page?

Hi Alexandr Mykhailov,

As per the PDF specifications, the widest PDF page is considered as the baseline. Therefore, the FitToWidth mode is not calculated based on the first page of the PDF in the Syncfusion Vue PDF Viewer. Please feel free to reach out to us if you need any further clarification.
