Tooltip not exactly at mouse pointer position when using Minimum/Maximum

When I use Minimum or Maximum in a stock chart, the tooltip position and the mouse pointer position do not match exactly, see the attached screenshot.

It can be reproduced here: https://blazorplayground.syncfusion.com/VNBnXBjlpPpBUjRY

If I don't use Minimum or Maximum, it works fine.

Hi Sven,

Greetings from Syncfusion.

We verified the reported scenario by rendering the stock chart with and without the minimum and maximum range on the X‑axis. In both cases, the tooltip position remains the same. For your reference, we have attached the tested samples along with a GIF demonstrating the behavior.

With Range: https://blazorplayground.syncfusion.com/VjBdXBDOzFCPqsPB

Without Range: https://blazorplayground.syncfusion.com/BtVxjrjEzFgwGMCa

We kindly request you to share your requirement in more detail, including the exact issue you are facing and the expected behavior. This will help us analyze the scenario further and assist you more effectively.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Regards,

Durga Gopalakrishnan.

Hi

Your two examples show the difference quite well, see the screenshots below. In both cases, the mouse pointer was exactly at 1st of July 2025. But on the left (with range), the vertical dashed line and the tooltip refer to 6th of July. On the right (without range), the dashed line is exactly at the mouse pointer:

Sven,

We have tested the reported scenario on multiple machines, but unfortunately, we were still unable to reproduce the issue. When hovering over 1st July 2025 in both charts, the tooltip consistently shows 9th July 2025, regardless of whether the range is applied or not.

To help us identify the exact case in which you are experiencing the problem, kindly share the following information:

  • Browser used for testing
  • Width of the stock chart container
  • Video demonstrating the issue
  • Syncfusion NuGet package version
  • Whether you are using any culture/locale settings

We have attached the GIFs showing both cases for your reference. Please let us know if you have any concerns or require further assistance.

Indeed, it depends on the width of the container, see attached GIF which was done without the range. As long as the width is smaller than about 1530px, the dashed line and tooltip is not exactly where the mouse pointer is. If it's bigger (1575px in the GIF), it matches exactly.

If a range is specified, it never matches exactly, regardless of the width of the container.

In my opinion, it should always match exactly, regardless of the range and the width.

I tested it on Chrome in your blazorplayground which uses the latest package version, I guess. My locale is de-DE
