Question about licensing for government internal application (single developer)

Hello Syncfusion team,

I would like to clarify a licensing question before using the Syncfusion Calendar component.

I work at a national public health institute (government organization), and I am the only developer in my area. I am developing an internal application (Flutter Desktop) that will be used by approximately five internal users.

The application is not commercial and will only be used internally by the team.

Could you please confirm:

Whether the Community License can be used in this scenario, or

If a commercial license is required due to the organization being a government institution, even with only one developer and a small number of users.

If a commercial license is required, I would also appreciate information about:

Government or public-sector pricing

Any available discounts for small internal teams

Government institutions are typically considered separate legal entities, and in many cases they do not qualify under the standard Community License terms — even if the project is internal and non-commercial.

Since you’re working within a national public health institute, it’s likely that a commercial license would be required, regardless of the small team size. I’m also interested in clarification on this scenario.

In my case, I work in a government/public health organization and I’m currently the only developer responsible for a small internal tool. The application is a Flutter Desktop app used only inside our team (around 4–6 internal users). It is not distributed externally and has no commercial purpose.

Because the Community License mentions eligibility requirements related to organization size and revenue, I’m not completely sure how this applies to government institutions where revenue is not really the relevant metric.

If the organization is a government institution, does that automatically require a commercial license even for a small internal tool? fish it!

From my understanding, the key factor isn't the number of end users but whether your organization qualifies for the Community License. Since you're developing for a government institution, even for an internal, non-commercial application with a single developer, you may still need a commercial license depending on Syncfusion's eligibility requirements.

The Syncfusion Community License is not applicable to government agencies ((i.e., those funded by tax dollars) or to individuals working on government-related projects. Even if the application is intended for internal use, non-commercial purposes, or is developed by a single developer, a commercial license is required because the project is associated with a government organization or the company is government.

As far as I know, the Community License generally isn't available for government organizations, even if the application is only for internal use and there's only one developer. I think the eligibility is based on the type of organization, not just the number of developers or users. geometry dash

Syncfusion Community License offers free access to all Syncfusion products for individual developers and small organization. You can obtain the community license for personal use and organizational use. However, the entity or individual must meet the following criteria.

1.  Annual revenue less than one million in USD
2. 5 or fewer developers
3. 10 or fewer employees
4.  An entity or organization may not have ever received more than $3,000,000 USD in capital from an outside source, such as private equity or venture capital,
5. The community license does not apply to any government agencies ((i.e., funded by tax dollars) and those working on government projects
