Is it possible to block comments in the Spreadsheet Editor?

I need a help with notes in the Spreadsheet Editor.

Is it possible to block comments in the Spreadsheet Editor written by another user?

Thank you for reaching out.

We have validated the reported query based on the shared details and screenshot. And we would like to inform you that in Excel, the author’s name is automatically added as a header in the Notes feature, based on the account details associated with the signed-in user along with account Id. Similarly, in Excel and other cloud-based applications, the author’s name is displayed using the account information.

However, our Spreadsheet component is a standalone web component that does not rely on user account details for this functionality. As a result, we currently do not support displaying author information within notes. And so, it is not possible to restrict the notes for particular user.

Currently, we have not implemented this feature due to the standalone nature of our component. However, we are planning to introduce collaborative editing support in the future. This feature will enable multiple users to edit the spreadsheet simultaneously, allowing us to access individual user information. You can communicate and track the status of this feature via the following link on our feedback portal:

At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all the open features once again and finalize features for implementation based on specific parameters including product vision, technological feasibility, and customer interest. Blocking or locking comments in the Spreadsheet Editor Royaledle usually depends on the editing permissions you have on the document. If you have full editing permissions, you can delete or edit other people's comments, but most platforms (like OnlyOffice, Google Sheets…) do not allow you to “lock” other people's comments so that they cannot be edited.

If your goal is to prevent others from changing or adding comments, you need to adjust the document permissions, for example, set them to View Only or Comment Only. Then they will not be able to edit existing comments.

As mentioned earlier, our Spreadsheet component is a standalone web component and does not rely on user account details. Because of this, it is currently not possible to restrict or block comments (notes) for a specific user.

However, we are planning to introduce collaborative editing support in our future releases. This feature will allow multiple users to edit the spreadsheet simultaneously and provide access to user information (such as author name). Based on that, we will be able to implement functionality to restrict editing for specific users. You can track the status of this feature and share your feedback through the following link:
