Position the builtin Data Grid tooltip

Hi,


Is there any way to set the position of the built in tooltip for the datagrid?

It displays bottom center and is cut off if there is more data when selecting a row on the bottom of the screen.

Even better, can it be set to dynamically change position depending on the row being hovered over? Rows at the top will display it underneath and rows at the bottom will display it above?

Based on your requirement, the built-in tooltip behavior in the DataGrid component is designed to automatically adjust its position depending on the row's location. By default, when hovering over rows near the bottom of the grid, the tooltip is displayed above the row to prevent it from being cut off. For rows near the top, the tooltip appears below the row.

We have already  considered your request as an improvement at our end and logged a feature task “Provide support to position the built in ClipMode tooltip feature ”. At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all open features and identify features for implementation based on specific parameters including product vision, technological feasibility, and customer interest. We have planned to include these features along with other features while moving our component from Preview to production ready. So kindly request you to follow up with roadmap for further update.
