Delete handwritten signature by code

Hi all,

we need to clear all annotations and signatures added over the displayed pdf inside a PdfViewer.

We used the method ClearAllAnnotations() which works fine with annotations but not with signatures.

We also tried DeleteAnnotation(...) with the name of the signature element, without success.

Do you have any ideas for this?

Hi Atlante,

Currently, we don't have support for deleting handwritten signature programmatically. We have a feature request for this requirement as “Support for deleting handwritten signature programmatically in a WPF PdfViewer”. At present, we do not have any immediate plans to implement this feature, and we will implement this support in any of our upcoming releases. We usually have an interval of at least three months between releases, at the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all open features.  We will let you know when this feature is implemented.

Hey O, that's a tricky one! I've run into similar issues with PDF manipulation before. It sounds like the signatures might be treated as a different type of object than regular annotations within your PDF viewer library. Have you tried digging into the library's documentation to see if there's a specific method for removing signature objects? Sometimes, it's like trying to find a hidden easter egg, similar to how you might endlessly search for the limit in the Dinosaur Game. Good luck!
