Tooltip not showing after opening dialog

Hi,


I have a chart and tooltip on one page. When using a template tooltip, the chart is showing the tooltip fine but as soon as I open a dialog and close it, the tooltip disappears. I have attached a sample project demonstrating this which was created using the latest essential studio service pack

We have considered your reported scenario as bug and logged a defect report for the issue “Chart tooltip template is not displayed after opening and closing the dialog”. This fix will be available in our weekly patch release which is scheduled to be rolled on 10th June 2025. We appreciate your patience until then. We are glad to announce that our v29.2.10 patch release is rolled out; we have added the fix for reported issue. You can use the latest Syncfusion.Blazor.Charts NuGet package.


Root Cause :

The tooltip template was stored in a separate object and later set to null to transfer tooltip settings to the script, which caused it to remain null during re-rendering after reopening the dialog.


Fix :

Removed the unnecessary null assignment of the tooltip template and provided a proper method to return the required values for script-level rendering.
