Gathering biometric Data when signing

Hi,

We are working with the SignaturePad widget in an environment where, for legal reasons, signing documents requires the collection of biometric data apart from the image of the signature.

Is it possible to collect this data with SignaturePad? I'm referring to data such as pressure, speed and acceleration, time, trajectory with X/Y coordinates, angle and inclination, etc.

There are devices such as the Wacom Pen, Surface Pen, Apple Pencil, and Samsung Pen that are capable of collecting this data.

What is the best option to gather all this data? Can we do it with SignaturePad? Or do we need to look for another alternative?

Hi Enaut,

 

We have created a sample using the SfSignaturePad widget, where we used the onDraw  callback to capture the X and Y offset values along with the corresponding timestamp. Using this data, we calculated the speed, angle, and acceleration of the signature drawn on the signature pad.

 

We’ve shared a sample for your reference, and you can further customize it based on your requirements.

 

Currently, there is no option to retrieve the pressure and inclination(tilt) data.
