We can replicate the problem our end from your shared details. We have logged this reported issue, ‘rowSelected event returns an incorrect target argument when the TaskName column is focused’ as a bug. Our team is working on a fix, which we plan to include in the Volume 1 SP release expected at Mid of May, 2025.

The fix for the issue “rowSelected event returns an incorrect target argument when the TaskName column is focused” has been rolled out in our Volume 1 SP Main Release v29.2.4. So upgrade to our latest version to resolve the problem.

Root cause: In the internal method within the selection module, the condition to correctly identify the element with treeColumnIndex was not satisfied. This caused the target argument to be undefined or incorrectly set when selecting a cell in the tree column.
