Convert PDF to PDF/A with layers (optional content)

Hi, every time I use Syncfusion to convert a PDF to either PDF/A-2b or PDF/A-3b, it removes the layers (optional content). It keeps the content as part of the page rather than in a layer. I know that layers have been supported since PDF/A-2. Does anyone know how to convert the PDF to preserve the layers?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Patrik,

We have included the fix for the reported issue “Layers not preserved while converting the PDF to PDF/A conversion" in our weekly release (v29.1.35). Please use the below link to download our latest NuGet.

https://www.nuget.org/packages/Syncfusion.Pdf.Net.Core/29.1.35

Root cause:

While converting the PDF document to PDF/A, the order value from OC properties is removed by improper condition which leads to the issue.

Regards,

Rangarajan.
