SfTreeGrid as the content of a dropdown like ComboBoxAdv
Hi,
How can I set SfTreeGrid as the content of a dropdown like ComboBoxAdv and bind the SelectedItem of this SfTreeGrid to SelectedItem of the ComboBoxAdv container?
Thank you,

Hi Ha Do,
It seems you are looking to display multiple columns in the dropdown of a ComboBox, similar to how ComboBoxAdv functions. In this case, you can use Syncfusion’s SfMultiColumnDropDown control, which provides a built-in DropDownGrid featuring powerful data display and selection capabilities through SfDataGrid. This allows for easy searching and selecting of items while also supporting free-flow text filtering.
Kindly refer to the below User Guide document for more details and review the attached sample for implementation.

Hi Rabina,
Actually I need something like SfMultiColumnDropDown but embedding SfTreeGrid not SfDataGrid in this original SfMultiColumnDropDown. Can you suggest me some ideas?

Hi Ha Do,
We understand your requirement to embed an SfTreeGrid within a dropdown content. To achieve this, we are attempting to load the SfTreeGrid into a ComboBoxAdv using its DropDownContentTemplate.
However, we have encountered some issues related to selection functionality within the dropdown. We are currently in the process of validating and addressing these flaws to ensure a smooth and reliable implementation. We will provide further updates on February 11, 2025

Hi Ha Do,
We have embedded the SfTreeGrid as the dropdown content of the ComboBoxAdv. By default, the selection of child nodes in the SfTreeGrid is not reflected in the selected items of the ComboBoxAdv.
To address this, we have implemented a workaround to customize the behavior. With this customization, the selection now updates correctly when items are selected in the SfTreeGrid.
Please find the attached sample for a detailed implementation.
Kindly let us know if you need any further assistance.
