How to not clip long cell text that spans multiple columns (when neighbor columns are blank)

I have a spreadsheet that looks like below (in Google Sheets):

When I render this XLSX in the React Spreadsheet component, cells A1, B4, B5 are "clipped".

However, given that cells B1, C1, C4, C5 are all empty, is there a way to allow the text to "overflow" into its neighbors, similar to how Google Sheets handles long text in cells?

Hi Tim Law,

We have validated your query, and we would like to let you know that we don’t have support for Text Overflow in our Spreadsheet. However, we have confirmed this as an improvement and logged it as a feature. It will be available in any of our upcoming releases. You can communicate and track the status of the feature using the below link from our feedback portal.

At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all the open features once again and finalize features for implementation based on specific parameters including product vision, technological feasibility, and customer interest. Once we have anything definite to share about these features implementation, we will move the feedback to scheduled status with the tentative release timeline. We appreciate your patience until then.
