SfBusyIndicator no longer stretches vertically

I've noticed in recent releases that the SfBusyIndicator no longer stretches vertically and will ignore VerticalOptions="Fill".

My MAUI Windows desktop app now has the busy indicator showing in the center of the page instead of stretched, so the overlay does not protect controls from being pressed.

Can you fix this please?

I'm using the latest release and targeting .net

Hi John,

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion support!

We were able to replicate the reported issue in the BusyIndicator, where the BusyIndicator did not stretches vertically. A potential fix has been identified and provided. At present, a custom patch has been created for version 28.1.37. We have attached the NuGet file for your convenience.

Please note that we have created this patch for version 28.1.37 specifically to resolve the issue reported in this ticket. If you have received other patches for the same version for other products, please apply all patches in the order received.

Please clear the NuGet cache, before using the latest one and please refer to the below link for this

How to clear NuGet cache?

Please refer the below KB to install the custom NuGet on a local machine,

This fix will be included in our upcoming weekly release scheduled on January 15, 2025. We will notify you as soon as weekly is released. Thank you for your understanding in the meantime!

Disclaimer: “Inclusion of this solution in the weekly release may change due to other factors including but not limited to QA checks and works reprioritization.”

Root Cause:

The reported issue occurred because the static height request was assigned to the BusyIndicator.

Resolution:

Now we have removed the static height request of the BusyIndicator.

Brundha V
