Support for "Small Events" (Availability Type) in the Calendar
Dear Syncfusion team,
Summary
We request the addition of support for "small events" (availability-type items) that appear as compact elements on the left side of a lane in the calendar. This feature is critical for our use case, as the current implementation does not meet our needs without it. Can this be achieved in the current control? From our experience we are unable to choose the order or size on the appointments.
Use Case
Our use case requires scheduling systems to allow for quick visualization of availability or short time-block items alongside regular events. Without this functionality, we are unable to have an availability overview on the calendar for our users
Example from Google
Google's scheduling tools, such as Google Calendar, offer this functionality. Small availability-type items are neatly displayed on the side, providing both clarity and ease of access. This layout ensures that all events and availability information are visible without cluttering the main view.
Proposed Feature
We suggest implementing a similar feature where:
- Small events (e.g., "availability" or "status markers") can be displayed on the left side of the lane.
- These items are visually distinct yet do not interfere with the primary timeline or scheduled events.
- The feature allows flexible configuration to meet diverse user needs
