Hi crosslife,

Thank you for sharing the code snippet and video reference, which clearly illustrate the reported issue.

Regarding the fill series issue observed in the second video, we were able to replicate the problem when the NumberFormat is set to Text. However, without this setting, the issue does not occur.

We are currently investigating this at the source level to identify the root cause. This requires additional time for validation, and we will provide you with further updates by December 03, 2024.

We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Regards,
Sreemon Premkumar M.

Hi crosslife,

We are still working on validating the reported issue at the source level. The issue occurs because an internal property does not receive the proper value. We are investigating this internally and will provide further details on or before December 05, 2024.

We appreciate your patience in the meantime.

Regards,
Sreemon Premkumar M.

Hi crosslife,

We would like to let you know that Essential Studio Weekly NuGet packages (v28.1.38) has been published in nuget.org with the fix for the issue “Fill Series Loading with Empty Cells When the Number Format Is Applied to Text after setting Numeric Value”. Please let us know if you have any concerns in this.

Root Cause:
As per Microsoft Excel's behavior, when applying a text number format to a cell containing a number, the value is considered as text. Currently, XlsIO does not handle this behavior correctly, causing HasString to return false.
