Saved signatures

if a user saves a signature via the add signature dialog, is there any methods available to extract this signature so it can be save and reloaded the next time this user opens the control?

Hi Gavin Duffy,

We have provided a video demonstrating that, when another document is loaded, the previously saved signature remains visible in the signature panel. Could you confirm whether you are loading the document by refreshing the browser? If so, note that refreshing the browser destroys and recreates the component, which will erase any stored data. This information will help us investigate further and provide more effective support.

Not sure this is what I would want.

Assume 3 different users of my application, when user 1 opens a new PDF, they should only see their signature in the list of signatures. They should not see the other users. So saving a signature stamp as part of the PDF would be bad.

Assumption is that a user will configure a signature for them to use on all documents.

Thank you for the update. Opening a new tab or refreshing the PDF viewer will clear saved signatures. We recommend managing saved signatures per user within the application itself.

To track whether a signature is saved, We have logged a feature request titled "Support for saving the save signature value in the addSignature event and signature collection". We will implement this feature in any of our upcoming releases due to the various features and improvements are planned in our roadmap and let you know once this feature is implemented. Ok, I will keep a lookout for it.

2 features are required, capturing a created signature and the ability to load a previously captured signature.

Currently, we don't have the support adding a signature to the signature panel when the signature dialog opens in the PDF viewer.  We have logged this as a feature request as "Trigger event before opening the signature dialog". We will implement this feature in any of our upcoming releases due to the various features and improvements are planned in our roadmap and let you know once this feature is implemented.
