Why does my bound image not show up in the chat list?

Hi Customer,

We have checked the reported scenario at our end and found that the issue occurs when set AspectFill to image. So we suspect that it might be issue with Image element. Could you please try using AspectFit for the chat image and let us know if that resolves the problem?

Hi Customer.

We have reproduced the issue in windows platform and are currently working on validating it. Our testing shows that with .NET MAUI version 8.0.82, using AspectFill works as expected. Therefore, we’re investigating whether the issue lies within our implementation or the framework itself. For now, we recommend downgrading to version 8.0.82 as a temporary solution. We’ll provide further updates by November 13, 2024. Thank you for your patience as we work on this.

We would like to let you know that, we have logged a bug for the reported scenario, “ Windows - Image is not loaded when set to AspectFill in the ImageMessage. ”, we will fix the issue and include the fix in our Upcoming nuget release, which is planned to rolled out on December 03, 2024. Hi Customer,

We would like to let you know that Essential Studio Weekly NuGet packages (v27.2.5) has been published in nuget.org with the fix for the issue “Windows - Image is not loaded when set to AspectFill in the ImageMessage”. Please let us know if you have any concerns in this. 

  

RootCause of the issue: The Source property value is not updated properly when set AspectFill mode.
