Is there a way to do AllowGapForEmptyPoints in WPF SFChart?

WinForms chart can close the gaps for missing data points while keeping a numeric date/time axis.

I can only do that in WPF SFChart by going to a DateTimeCategory axis, but then I lose the ability to use "numeric only" indicators like Striplines.

Is there a way to get the same effect as AllowGapForEmptyPoints in SFChart?

Hi Thomas Brand,

We have validated your query, and we regret to inform you that currently, the WPF SfChart does not directly support a functionality similar to AllowGapForEmptyPoints. We are actively investigating potential workarounds for alternative approaches to achieve this functionality and will update you with further details by tomorrow (Oct 30, 2024).

In the meantime, you may refer to the documentation on handling empty points in WPF: Empty Points in WPF Charts control | Syncfusion

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

Arul Jenith B.

Hi Thomas Brand,

We have been exploring alternative approaches, but we need more information to assist you better. Could you please provide us with specific use cases for AllowGapForEmptyPoints? Additionally, which axis are you using, and under what circumstances do you encounter empty points, such as weekends or other scenarios?

In meantime, we suggest to check the EnableBusinessHours property for the datetime axis. Setting this property to true can help close the gaps for empty points on nonworking days.

For more information, please visit the document: Axis in WPF Charts control | Syncfusion

We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Arul Jenith B
